Naomi Scott To Be Pink Ranger In ‘Power Rangers’ Reboot

Naomi Scott, who starred in movies like Terra Nova and most recently The Martian, has been announced to play Kimberly, aka The Pink Ranger, in the upcoming Power Rangers live-action reboot.

The announcement comes after Lionsgate Films was to reboot the popular children’s franchise and started auditioning for the five people who will wear the Power Rangers uniform. The casting was revealed on the official Power Rangers movie Instagram page where Scott is pictured with the new Power Rangers logo has also been revealed. Previous Pink Ranger actresses include Amy Jo Johnson during the original Power Rangers television series and Catherine Sutherland in later Power Rangers series.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie is set to be released on January 13, 2017. Project Almanac director Dean Isrealite is set to film the movie with X-Men: First Class and Thor writers Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller already have a script written for the upcoming reboot. Go, go Power Rangers!
