The husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was involved in a Saturday night collision in Napa County, he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at the scene.

A public online booking report shows that Paul Pelosi was arrested just before midnight on Saturday night. Neither participant in the crash was harmed in the collision or determined to be at fault, but Pelosi was booked that night and charged with misdemeanors of driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or higher.

His bail was set at $5,000, and he was reportedly released Sunday morning. Nancy Pelosi was not in California when this incident occurred, and her spokesman Drew Hammil said she “will not be speaking on this private matter which occurred while she was on the East Coast.”

Paul Pelosi is a native San Franciscan and best known as the founder of the venture capital firm Financial Leasing Services. He has been married to Nancy since 1963, and they have maintained a home in San Francisco since 1969.
