Tommy Lee, drummer of the rock band Mötley Crüe, found himself stuck in an onstage stunt gone wrong on New Year’s Eve. Seated on a drum rollercoaster, the star was stuck upside down above the crowd at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on the night of their last show. Stage crew rushed to fix the rollercoaster, dubbed “The Cruecifly.”
Lee seemed calm as he waited to be rescued. “”It looks like the rollercoaster is broken. “Well, f**k the rollercoaster! Come on, guys, help. Come get me.”
Lee claimed he felt something a little off as he took off on the roller coster. “I can’t believe this is happening on the last night. I knew something wasn’t right when I took off.”
The crew failed to fix the contraption and Lee was forced to climb down the roller coaster. Even with the glitch, the band went on to celebrate their 35 years of rock. The band is set to record a film version of their final show later this year.
