Motherhood Keeps Halle Berry Grounded

As an Oscar-winning actress blessed with a not-inconsiderable amount of beauty, Halle Berry has to try to keep things in perspective.

Luckily, she has daughter Nahla for that. “Being the mother does that for me,” Berry, 44, told reporters at AFI Fest’s Conversation with Halle Berry. "It sort of puts things into perspective, and it's about real life, and life is about people, what we give, what we take, what we share."

Berry, who kept quiet about her relationship with co-star Olivier Martinez, was happy to discuss her relationship with her daughter. “I do what we adore to do,” she said, “and being the mother has come unequivocally naturally.
