Morgan Wallen made an appearance at Kid Rock‘s honky-tonk in Nashville on Wednesday night for the first time after being involved in a controversy for using a racial slur.
The crowd began chanting Wallen’s name, and he sang “Whiskey Glass,” followed by “Wasted On You.”
After being caught on tape using a racial slur at the beginning of 2021, Wallen said in April that he was not going to perform in the summer. The singer was also dropped from his recording contract and by many radio stations
After a video of the singer using racial slurs was posted by TMZ, he apologized saying he was “embarrassed and sorry,” promising “to do better.”
Wallen also posted pictures of a hand-written letter, explaining why he decided to cancel his performances during the summer.
