Monica Lewinsky was one of the many attendees at the star-studded annual Vanity Fair Oscar party in Hollywood Sunday night.
Lewinsky opted to wear a simple black, strapless gown for the film industry fete. She complemented the number, which featured a ruffled skirt, with a pair of gold shoes, a black clutch and teardrop earrings. Lewinsky wore her hair in a tousled up-do and sported a red lip.
The Vanity Fair contributor posted a picture from the night of her place setting and menu, captioning it on Twitter, “(snuck a photo).”
Lewinsky, who has reemerged in the public eye as of late as a social activist, spoke at a TED talk last year about the psychological effects of being publicly shamed around the world after having an affair with then-president Bill Clinton in the 90s.
“I was Patient Zero of losing a personal reputation on a global scale almost instantaneously,” Lewinsky said during her talk. “I was branded as a tramp, tart, slut, whore, bimbo and, of course, ‘that woman.’ I was known by many, but actually known by few. I get it. It was easy to forget ‘that woman’ was dimensional and had a soul.”
