Monica And Shannon Brown Marry – Again

Monica and Shannon Brown tied the knot for a second time in Los Angeles on July 9. The couple secretly married in a private ceremony in L.A. last November, with just the two of them and witnesses,but decided to hold another, “official” wedding in front of family and friends.

Among the 300 guests who attended the weekend ceremony and reception were Shannon, 25’s Los Angeles Lakers teammate Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa, Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes, rapper/actor LL Cool J, NBA player Carmelo Anthony and his wife Lala Vazquez, Khloe Kardashian Odom, Nelly, Ashanti and Cee-Lo, to name a few. Ciara, served as Monica’s bridesmaid.

Also in attendance were Monica’s two sons Rodney, 6, and Romelo, 3, from a previous relationship with Rodney “Rocko” Hill, whom she met when she was only 19 years old. The two split last spring.

Wedding planner Mindy Weiss created a blue-themed wedding wonderland at the renovated cathedral Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles.

Monica, 30, said the wedding exceeded her expectations. “I was just overwhelmed. I’m glad because I didn’t think about this 50 lb train that I was dragging behind me. I just had to take a deep breath, because I was really trying not to cry,” according to GossiponThis.com.

Her reception dress will be auctioned off to benefit the Susan G. Komen foundation, the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists. Monica’s Stephanie Rolland corseted ivory-colored mermaid wedding gown, made of silk organza, satin and crystals, cost $1 million, according to Yahoo!

The ecstatic bride tweeted about being happy her whole family was finally there saying: “Now Im complete. My ENTIRE family is with me. I feel Blessed beyond measure & my brothers @yella404 & @starsrus44 are TRULY my heart. Luv Them”

Ludacris, who is godfather to Shannon’s kids, congratulated the happy couple, tweeting: "Today is @MonicaBrown wedding Day. Love u Cuz & I'm extremely happy for u. You deserve all the blessings in the world. Congrats"
