Social media star Sydney Thomas returned to wrestling after serving as the ring girl in the controversial boxing match between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. While the bout was generally panned. Thomas stole the show.

Thomas, who rose to fame during the match, returned to their ringside duties as Antonio Vargas beat Winston Guerrero to become WBA Interim World Bantamweight champion—the 21-year-old stunned fans as she sported a sensational aqua-and-black mesh crop top and shorts.

Thomas shared a photo of herself on her Instagram story, striking a fighting pose with the caption: “It’s fight night,” in the story.

Thomas rocketed into the spotlight in November when fans praised her as the “winner” of the Netflix Tyson-Paul showdown. The social media star was one of five ring girls working at the event at AT&T Stadium. In the wake of her popularity, Thomas rapidly saw her social media followings skyrocket – quadrupling in the last month.

“I had 220,000 on Instagram [before Pual-Tyson], and now I’m at like 800,000,” Thomas said in an interview with Most Valuable Promotions. “And on TikTok, I had 600,000, and now I’m at 1.1 million.”

Thomas explained how Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions company helped launch her career. “By giving me the platform and the opportunity to be on Netflix and also just to come to events like this, meet really cool people and network,” she explained. “The doors that it has opened have been huge. So big thanks to MVP for that because they’re the best.”

Despite her rising popularity, Thomas is still enrolled as an education major in her senior year at the University of Alabama. To keep her schedule flexible, she takes online classes to meet demands.
