The remains of an Australian man were found inside a crocodile’s stomach in the northern part of the country known for its wild natural habitat.
The man went missing during a fishing trip with his friends.
Kevin Darmody, 65, was last seen on Saturday in an area known to be a saltwater crocodile-infested area.
After searching for two days, the police euthanized two large crocodiles and found human body parts inside one of the animals.
“A tragic ending,” said the police.

Authorities are now conducting the identification process using dental records.
The two crocodiles measured 13.4 feet and 9.2 feet in length.
The animals were shot on Monday around one mile from where Darmody went missing. Only one crocodile contained the human remains, but the wildlife officers believed both were involved.
The other fisherman reported hearing Darmody scream followed by large splash followed. The fisherman checked in on him, only to find his flip-flops on the bank.
Darmody was known to be a talented fisherman and a well-known member of the community of Cape York. This has been the 13th attack in the area of Queensland since authorities began keeping records in 1985.
Crocodiles are common in Australia, but attacks are rare. There have been about 1-2 attacks each year since 2005, but since then, the last attack happened in 2018.
