After the most awkward mistake on live television in recent memory, another controversial remark comes from Miss Germany Sarah-Lorraine Riek, who claims that no one voted for Miss Philippines and that she was upset with the result of the pageant.
First, the big reveal came out wrong after host Steve Harvey announced that Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, was the winner when the card he should have read off stated that Miss Philippines, Mia Wurtzbach, was the real pageant winner. Right away, he apologized to the millions of people watching that he was wrong and that the crown and sash had been lifted from Miss Colombia and given to Miss Philippines.

Controversy would soon follow after when Riek, stated that she was very upset with the decision. “I really couldn’t believe it, I was so upset. For me she was robbed as the real winner,” Riek said to Missosology, an online beauty pageant magazine, in a video. “I was very happy for Miss Colombia because she really deserved it. I’m really not happy with the result and so are the other girls, I’m sorry to say it,” she continued.
