Miss Argentina Mariana Varela & Miss Puerto Rico Fabiola Valentin Reveal Their Secret Marriage

Two winners of the 2020 Miss Grand International revealed that they secretly got married in October.
Miss Argentina, Mariana Varela, and Miss Puerto Rico, Fabiola Valentin, shared the news in an Instagram post with a video montage of some of the couple’s intimate moments. 

The video shows Varela, 26, and Valentin, 22, at the beach, cuddling in bed and displaying their engagement rings. Viewers got a glimpse of the proposal with balloons that spell out “MARRY ME” and the women sharing a kiss. The video ends with the couple kissing in front of the Marriage Bureau in San Juan, Puerto Rico. 

Valentin said in the caption that they’d decided to keep their relationship private until now. 

Since the competition where the pageant winners met, they have posted pictures together on social media, appearing to fans as just friends.

The official Instagram account of the Miss Grand International competition posted wishing the women congratulations, captioning the post, “MGIO always support ‘LOVE’ without boundaries.” 

Fans have wished the newlywed couple well on social media, expressing shock and excitement over the news.
