On the Illinois stop of her Keeper of the Flame tour, Miranda Lambert teared up while singing “Over You,” a song she wrote with her ex-husband Blake Shelton.
The song was written about Shelton’s brother, who died in a car accident when Shelton was a teenager. The divorced couple won Song of The Year at the Country Music Awards for the tune.
Lambert told the audience she was having a rough night, as she was feeling hormonal and had been suffering from cramps, according to People.
Lambert broke down a second time while singing “The House That Built Me,” according to Us. Lambert also told the crowd, “I told you I was a mess,” but she seemed to have much support from her fans.
After dating for six years followed by four years of marriage, Lambert and Shelton announced their divorce last July.
Lambert is now in a relationship with musician Anderson East. Shelton has also moved on with co-star of The Voice, Gwen Stefani.
