Miranda Kerr’s Nude ‘Harper’s Bazaar Australia’ Cover Is Banned From Australian Grocery Stores

Miranda Kerr‘s Harper’s Bazaar Australia cover is being taken down from hundreds of international grocery store shelves, according to reports on Friday.

Miranda Kerr’s ‘Harper’s Bazaar Australia’ Cover Removed

Kerr, a former Victoria’s Secret angel, posed nude for the cover of the December 2015/January 2016 issue, wearing only a pair of stilettos and some Swarovski crystals.

The magazines hit the newsstands on Dec. 14, yet Coles Supermarkets in Australia reportedly removed every trace of the issue—approximately 3,000 copies—from its nearly 800 stores Thursday night after a few customers took issue with the nude cover photo.

Kerr’s cover photo makes sure her arms and legs are posed to hide any private parts. But, visitors to the chain complained and the issues were taken out of every magazine aisle of the chain.

Kerr also posed nude for the cover of Harper’s Bazaar back in February of this year. She shot the cover of the American issue in nothing but a black floppy hat.

The model remarked that she actually likes to be naked.

“I wish I could go skinny-dipping in the ocean,” Kerr told the magazine. “If I didn’t have to worry about anyone taking my picture, I’d totally be out there. I quite like to be naked.”

The people in charge of the publication, explained that despite the ban, they are proud of the cover.

“Obviously I don’t want anything damaging to the brand and don’t think this is. It’s disappointing, but I’m very proud of it, ” Editor-in-Chief Kellie Hush told Women’s Wear Daily.

Steven Chee is an amazing photographer, my team are proud of it, Miranda is proud of it. It’s not going to stop me from pushing boundaries again, that’s for sure,” Hush added.
