Miley Cyrus Says Her Divorce ‘F—— Sucked,’ Upset About Being Villainized
Miley Cyrus opened up about her divorce from actor Liam Hemsworth during an interview on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast on Wednesday.
The singer-songwriter’s split from Hemsworth made headlines in 2019. Shortly after, she was seen in Italy with Kaitlynn Carter, who she briefly dated before moving on to date Cody Simpson, who she recently split with.
On the podcast, Cyrus admitted that her divorce “f—— sucked” because of how she was villainized for moving on. The singer explained that there was a lot of time after the end of her marriage and before the start of her relationship with Kaitlynn that the general public never saw.
“What really sucked about it wasn’t the fact that me and someone that I loved realized that we didn’t love each other the way that we used to anymore. I can accept that,” Cyrus said. “I can’t accept the villainizing and all those stories. It’s just amazing to me that the public kind of thinks that there’s no gap of time that they didn’t see that could possibly be what led to this.”
Cyrus added that she doesn’t regret ending any of her past romances and that she moves on without looking back. Now, she’s looking for someone who already has their life together.
“You better know what you want because I’m just not interested in taking another ten years like did with my first love to figure that out.”
