Miley Cyrus released “We Can’t Stop,” the lead single off her upcoming album, on Monday.

Cyrus explained that the carefree party song, released amidst breakup rumors with fiancé Liam Hemsworth, is about where she is in her life at the moment on On Air with Ryan Seacrest before premiering the song.

“We Can’t Stop” is a slowed-down pop song produced by Mike WiLL Made-It. Though she has collaborated with hip/hop heavyweights such as Snoop Lion and Pharrell for her upcoming yet-untitled album, this single is closer to the vein of “Party in the USA” than “Ashtrays and Heartbreaks,” Snoop Lion’s recent record that Cyrus guested on.

The music video for “We Can’t Stop” is due to premiere next week, though Cyrus tweeted a sneak peek picture from the shoot on Saturday with the caption: “‪#WECANTSTOP ‪#tWERK.” It is expected that Cyrus’s forthcoming album will be released later this year, though there is no release date as of yet.
