Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger‘s five-month relationship might be over, according to reports.
Cyrus and Schwarzenegger, whose relationship has been under the microscope over the last month, have reportedly decided to take a break. Schwarzenegger, a student at the University of Southern California, was caught in paparazzi photos getting affectionate with a fellow classmate – and with a former girlfriend – during his spring break. Though Schwarzenegger has denied any wrongdoing, the photos apparently took their toll on the young relationship.
“The scandal did its damage,” and insider told Us Weekly. “They both saw sides of each other they weren’t pleased with but they were trying to make it work.” The insider added that the two “still talk” but aren’t “as serious or committed as [they were].”
Multiple sources also said that Cyrus and Schwarzenegger are taking a “break” to E! News.
However, other sources are claiming that it’s all over for the singer and the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver.
“It’s not a break. It’s done,” a source told People magazine. “They’re just in two different places in their lives – he’s in college and she’s focused on her music and career.”
Neither Cyrus nor Schwarzenegger have commented on the reports of a split.
