Miley Cyrus’ bondage video will not be shown at the NYC Porn Film Festival, as previously reported.
On Tuesday, it was reported that a short film from director Quentin Jones and starring Cyrus would be premiering at the NYC Porn Film Festival. The short, titled “Miley Cyrus: Tongue Tied,” features a scantily dressed Cyrus in various bondage positions – with black tape covering her nipples and fabric wrapped around her neck.

The video was created to accompany Cyrus on her Bangerz tour, and, according to the NYC Porn Film Festival schedule, an extended cut of the film was said to be premiering at the festival. However, it later became apparent that neither Cyrus nor Jones were involved with the festival. “Miley was proud to make a film with acclaimed filmmaker Quentin Jones. Neither she nor Quentin are participating in this ‘festival’ in any way,” a spokesperson for Cyrus said in a statement.
The film was then removed from the Porn Film Festival’s website, and they apologized for the error, saying, “We hoped the film screened alongside great artists such as Amalia Ulman, Bradford Kessler, Richard Kern, Beth B, James Franco, Narcissister, would create a bigger discourse around art, sexuality, gender and pornography.”
NYC Porn Film Festival organizer Simon Leahy explained, saying that he believed they had the rights to show the film, but that the production company must have gotten their wires crossed. “Basically, they didn’t do their due diligence. We asked to show it at the festival. Because the word porn is involved, basically the media has just sensationalized it and turned it into a click bait story,” Leahy told the New York Post.
