Is Miley Cyrus Banned From Attending Kennedy Christmas Party With Boyfriend Patrick Schwarzenegger?
Maria Shriver, Patrick Schwarzenegger’s mother, has reportedly banned his pop star girlfriend Miley Cyrus from attending any Kennedy holiday events – including this Christmas.
Miley Cyrus Vs. Maria Shriver
“Maria doesn’t want her there and won’t budge,” a source told Life & Style. “She doesn’t think it’s appropriate to have Miley around the rest of the Kennedy family.”
Schwarzenegger, who is known to have a close relationship with his mother, has reportedly told her that if Cyrus can’t go to the Kennedy Christmas party at the family compound in Cape Cod then he won’t be in attendance either. The argument over the holiday arrangements – and his relationship with Cyrus in general – has supposedly caused something of a rift between Schwarzenegger and Shriver.
“Patrick insists on having her there – or he will not come,” according to the source, noted Hollywood Life.com. “They’ve been talking less and less. Every time they do talk, it ends up in an argument where Patrick is defending Miley.”
Throughout Cyrus and Schwarzenegger’s relatively young relationship, there’ve already been a number of back and forth stories relating to whether or not Shriver likes the “Wrecking Ball” singer.
Back in November, Cyrus joined Schwarzenegger and Shriver to watch a screening of Still Alice, which Shriver produced. Following reports that Shriver disapproved of the relationship, a source said that Shriver was okay with the pairing. “It’s untrue that Maria is unhappy,” the source told People magazine. “If Patrick’s happy, she’s happy.”
Throughout the ongoing controversy, Cyrus, Schwarzenegger and Shriver have all remained silent about the rumors.
