Miley Cyrus' 'Bangerz' Show Features Provocative Simulation On Bill Clinton Impersonator
Miley Cryus continues to use shock value to keep herself in the news. This time, she pretended to perform oral sex on a back up dancer in a Bill Clinton mask.
Miley Cyrus Fakes Oral Sex On Clinton Impersonator
Perhaps because of Hillary Clinton’s impending candidacy for president and the resulting analysis that features questions about how Clinton’s affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky will effect her chances, Cyrus decided the former president’s past indiscretions were not only relevant – but a perfect bit for while she sings “Party in the U.S.A.”
As a cat dances on the jumbo screen in the background, Miley struts around the stage in a patriotic leotard and cowboy hat. On her way back across the stage, she drops to her knees before the Clinton impersonator, twerks on the Liberty Bell, grinds up on Mount Rushmore and gives Lady Liberty a kiss on the cheek. Towards the end of the song, Cyrus joins a twerk train while a chant of “Go white girl, go!” can be heard in the background.
Cyrus’ tour, much like her album, was designed with the theme of having fun in mind. “That’s what I think I’m kind of representing more than anything in the past year,” she said in a press conference. “Fun and [being] carefree, and that’s what the show represents.”
“I make my albums to be able to travel and to be able to go on the road,” she added, explaining her enthusiasm for the live shows. “That’s really kind of what I love to do more than anything.”
Critics On Cyrus' 'Bangerz' Tour
While Cyrus has won some detractors with her shocking tour antics – namely the parents of her younger fans – she’s also earned some significant praise from music outlets. Rolling Stone, who did a massive feature on the singer last year, lists off the “Most Outrageous” moments of the tour, including Cyrus’s ability to mock herself, her taste in music outside her own tracks and her undeniably strong vocals.
The engagement of the crowd, the humor woven throughout the concert, the couture costumes, her acoustic set and her voice all impressed Entertainment Weekly’s Nick Catucci. Catucci was perhaps most wowed by the 19-year-old’s entrance, in which she slid down her own tongue that was coming out of her own oversized head.
