Mila Kunis responded to reports that she is being sued for allegedly stealing a woman’s pet chicken with a funny video by Ashton Kutcher.
Kuni and Kutcher went live via Meerkat Wednesday evening to address a lawsuit filed by Kristina Karo, a woman who claims to have been childhood friends with Kunis in the Ukraine. In the lawsuit, Karo accused Kunis of stealing her pet chicken, named Doggie, causing Karo emotional distress. “Kristina, you can have any other chicken as a pet, you have a whole chicken farm,” a young Kunis allegedly told Karo when confronted.
Karo is claiming that the emotional distress she suffered made her seek psychological treatment, and that the trauma resurfaced after she moved to LA to be a singer, requiring more therapy. Karo is suing Kunis for $5,000 to cover doctors’ bills.
In their response, Kunis and Kutcher made fun of Karo’s claims, poking holes in her allegations and suggesting this was all a publicity stunt to promote Karo’s music video “Give Me Green Card.”
“I was devastated. I was weeping, I was dumbfounded. I was like, ‘which chicken did I steal?’ …So I apologize to this woman,” Kunis joked, adding that she has not received any legal documents pertaining to the lawsuit. “But, emotionally I feel served,” she said laughing.
“I would like to launch a counter $5,000 lawsuit for making me sit there and watch your music video shamelessly. My body hurts, my eyes hurt, they’re burning. That requires money,” Kunis added.
“No green card for you,” Kutcher joked.
Kutcher and Kunis, who may or may not be married, ended their livestream video dismissing the allegations of any chicken theft.
“I would never steal someone else’s chicken. I wouldn’t,” Kunis said.
