Migos Removed From Delta Flight, Manager Claims Racial Profiling

The manager of the band Migos is accusing Delta Airlines of racial profiling after the rap trio was removed from a flight last Friday, just hours before a concert.

The Bad and Boujee rappers were on a flight from Atlanta to Des Moines, Iowa, but the plane returned to the gate before take-off to remove the trio. Their manager claims that the trio was seated in first class, and Takeoff’s bag was on the ground and not properly stored overhead as required.

Delta gave a statement that said the group was removed for a failure to follow crew member instructions and properly stow their items in the overhead bins. Migos’ manager, however, told TMZ that member Takeoff only failed to follow the crew member’s instructions because he was asleep at the time.

Delta said in their statement:

Flight 1532 from Atlanta to Des Moines returned to the gate, prior to departure, to deplane several customers seated in the First Class cabin who repeatedly refused to follow crew member instructions to buckle their seatbelts and stow carry-on items in the overhead bins.

Delta went on to add in their statement that Migos was rebooked for an alternate flight to Des Moines that arrived shortly after 9 p.m.

A video of the incident was obtained by TMZ and shows a flight attendant attempting to discuss the situation with the rappers. Throughout the video the man filming can be heard issuing threats of a lawsuit at the airline company. It was later reported that Takeoff was the only one kicked off the flight, but Quavo, Offset, and the group’s manager all left in solidarity.

A representative for Migos confirmed the events reported by TMZ. The outlet also reports that Migos’ manager is accusing Delta of racially profiling the rappers by ejecting Takeoff from the plane.
