Michelle Obama, 48, hit it out of the park at the Democratic National Convention last night with her 26-minute speech that made the case for President Barack Obama's re-election and is being hailed as "one of the finest speeches ever delivered at a national political convention," according to CNN.

Obama's speech came across as personal, eloquent and honest, and centered around the themes of family, education, and the future of America. "When people ask me whether being in the White House has changed my husband, I can honestly say that when it comes to his character, and his convictions, and his heart, Barack Obama is still the same man I fell in love with all those years ago," Obama said.

Obama's speech was geared toward "what drives [the president] every day," and she delivered on that front, talking about her early dating relationship with Barack Obama, his relationship with his hardworking mother, and his values and responsibilities to family and the nation.

"As president, you can get all kinds of advice from all kinds of people. But at the end of the day, when it comes time to make that decision as president, all you have to guide you are your values and your vision, and the life experiences that make you who you are," she said.

"Being president doesn't change who you are," Obama said in one particularly poignant moment that had audience members in tears. "No — it reveals who you are."

Obama's wardrobe didn't hurt her case either. The first lady looked stunning in a rose-colored brocade sleeveless dress designed by Tracy Reese.
