The former First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, shared a touching tribute on social media to celebrate her husband and former President, Barack Obama, for his 60th birthday.
On Wednesday, Michelle posted a photo of herself, her daughters – Malia and Sasha – and Barack on Instagram.
The Instagram caption said, “Of all the accomplishments, I know that being a present, loving father to our girls tops them all. Thank you for never letting the weight of the world get in the way of being a wonderful husband and father. Happy 60th birthday, @BarackObama!”
Michelle also posted a 2008 Ebony magazine cover of Barack exiting an SUV in a suit and shades.
“Still turning my head after. all these years. Love you, Barack,” she captioned the photo.
President Joe Biden also congratulated Barack on his birthday via Twitter, adding a picture of the two high-fiving.
“Happy Birthday, @BarackObama. I’m proud to call you a brother and a friend – and I’m grateful for your selfless service to this nation,” he wrote.
Several VIPs wished the former President a happy birthday. Hillary Clinton joined in and shared a simple tweet with a picture of herself and Barack, wishing him a happy birthday.
Barack is celebrating his birthday by hosting a gathering of close friends and family only at his estate in Martha’s Vineyard. The party was originally intended to be an event with almost 500 guests, but the Obamas decided to reduce the size due to concerns about COVID-19.
