When We All Vote is an organization lead by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Tom Hanks and former First Lady Michelle Obama. Obama, however, will attend events the group will host in Las Vegas and Miami later this month.
Obama, while not a politician herself, has strived to help improve voter turnout. Last month, Obama noted that When We All Vote commemorates the 53rd anniversary of the Voting Rights Act, which outlaws racial discrimination in voting. The organization is working to host events from Sept. 22 – 29 with that goal in mind.

She and fellow co-chairs Hanks and Miranda also appeared together in a public service announcement back in July with the intend of inspiring more young people to vote and engage in the electoral process.
When We All Vote’s statement confirmed Obama will give a conference call to the group on Wednesday evening, and she plans to attend the Las Vegas and Miami events herself. The former event is set for Sept. 23 while the latter is slated for Sept. 28.
Both the former first lady and her husband, Barack Obama, have mostly avoided directly challenging incumbent President Donald Trump on his policies. The former President has begun getting involved in politics again, however; he has endorsed some candidates for the 2018 midterms, and he will reportedly campaign for Cleveland Democrat Richard Cordray on Sept. 13.
