A statement put out my Michelle Obama’s press team elaborates on what will be covered on the FLOTUS Snapchat channel: “You will learn more about ways to stay active and healthy — plus see the White House Kitchen Garden from planting to harvest. You will hear stories from members of our Joining Forces community. You will meet students who are beating the odds to Reach Higher to go to college. Plus, we promise many guest appearances from Bo and Sunny, too.”
In addition to the Obama family dogs, actresses and activists Meryl Streep and Freida Pinto will be making appearances on her Snapchat.
In her own statement on the Snapchat news, Obama said, “The younger generation is not watching nightly news, not reading the newspapers, not watching Sunday morning shows — they’re on their phones. So we had to start thinking of creative and fun ways to connect with folks.”
