Former First Lady Michelle Obama took to Twitter to announce her new podcast titled The Michelle Obama Podcast that will premiere exclusively on Spotify on July 29.

Obama tweeted, “I’m thrilled to announce a new project: The #MichelleObamaPodcast with @Spotify! It’s been a tough year and I hope this podcast can help us explore what we’re going through and spark new conversations with our loved ones. I can’t wait for you all to listen on July 29!”

Obama had also released a statement that read, “My hope is that this series can be a place to explore meaningful topics together and sort through so many of the questions we’re all trying to answer in our own lives. That’s how we can build more understanding and empathy for one another.”

Higher Ground, which is the Obamas’ production company, had announced its partnership with Spotify last summer. Spotify Chief Content Officer Dawn Ostroff stated, “At Spotify we seek to connect listeners with the world’s most authentic and compelling voices. We believe that audiences across the globe will be inspired by these most candid, most human and most personal conversations between First Lady Michelle Obama and her guests.”

The podcast, which will be available to both free and premium Spotify users, will feature a large array of special guests including Conan O’Brien, wife of former Attorney General Eric Holder, Dr. Sharon Malone, an obstetrician-gynecologist, Craig Robinson, Obama’s older brother and an executive director of the National Association of Basketball Coaches, Valerie Jarrett, a former Obama White House senior adviser and journalist Michele Norris.

In 2018, Obama released a memoir titled Becoming along with a Netflix documentary with the same name. Last year, Obama went on a book tour, visiting more than 30 different cities.
