Michael Strahan, the Live! With Kelly & Michael host and former New York Giant, has split from his fiancée Nicole Murphy.

Strahan, 42, and Murphy, 46, a model and star of VH1 reality show Hollywood Exes, reportedly ended their relationship on Friday. The split between the two is amicable, according to the New York Daily News.

“They love each other very much, but with the distance and work schedule it has been hard to maintain the relationship,” a rep for Strahan told The News.

Strahan and Murphy started dating in 2007 and became engaged two years later. Between them, the couple have nine kids: Murphy has five children with her ex-husband, actor Eddie Murphy, and Strahan has four kids from his previous marriages to Jean Muggli and Wanda Hutchins.

Since retiring from football in 2007, Strahan’s schedule has gotten increasingly busy. In April, five years into their engagement, Murphy hinted that the two might choose to elope, as planning a wedding was proving to be impossible with all of her fiancé’s commitments.

“We might just have to run off and elope,” Murphy told Wendy Williams in April. “We’ve been busy though, this has been crazy. The man’s got 20 jobs right now. He’s just busy.”
