Michael Phelps And Girlfriend Megan Rossee Break Up

Michael Phelps and Megan Rossee are no longer a couple, a little over four months since they went public at the 2012 London Olympics.

“Phelps felt the relationship wasn't going anywhere, so he decided to end it so he could pursue other options,” TMZ, who first reported the breakup, wrote, citing anonymous sources.

Phelps, the most decorated Olympic athlete in history earning 22 medals (18 gold), and Rossee, a model who played soccer and studied psychology at Lyon College, had been flirting via Twitter since last February before they made things official in August, according to E!.

Phelps, 27, and Rossee, 25, have remained rather mum on the matter on Twitter recently, but Phelps's last tweet left a somewhat crpytic message, "Things happen for a reason…#notme."

Rossee's most recent tweet, however, is much more lighthearted, "Worst thing about a onesie.. You have to take it all the way off to use the potty.”
