Michael Jordan’s Son, Marcus Jordan, Gets Drug Charges Changed – White Substance Found During DUI Arrest Was Ketamine Not Cocaine

Basketball legend Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus Jordan, may face different charges with new revelations coming to light about his recent arrest.

Marcus, 34, was arrested in Florida on Feb. 4 when officers found a blue Lamborghini stuck in railroad tracks at 1:00 a.m., Marcus inside along with a companion in the passenger seat. Officers were soon informed that Marcus had been fleeing an attempted traffic stop by the county sheriff’s deputies just minutes before.

One of the officers wrote in court documents, “I stood at the window and immediately detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle…The defendant kept saying he made a wrong turn and needed assistance getting his vehicle off the railroad tracks. I noticed the driver had slurred speech and he was confused about where he was located. I noticed the driver had red bloodshot and glassy eyes.”

Police cam footage shows Marcus resisting the officer’s attempts to remove him from the vehicle before a train came. In the video, he brings up his father’s name multiple times while he argues.

Further evidencing Marcus’ intoxicated state, the court documents stated, “On the way to the center, [the] patrol vehicle began smelling strongly like an alcoholic beverage in which it did not smell that way prior to the defendant being in the vehicle…The Defendant was singing the entire way to the DUI Center and his speech was slurred.”

A white powder substance was also found on Marcus which later tested positive for cocaine in the police’s field test.

However, a new report from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement has revealed that the substance was actually ketamine, which shares the same physical attributes as cocaine. It’s unclear if this will change the results of Marcus’ charges, given that both cocaine and ketamine are illegal but carry different legal consequences.

Marcus was taken to Orange County Jail and released on a $4,000 bail. Following his release, he refused to speak with the officers.

Marcus’ DUI case is scheduled for March 20, and the drug possession charges dates are yet to be determined.
