Melyssa Ford attends the BET American Black Film Festival Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel - Arrivals
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Melyssa Ford was in a near-fatal car accident, miraculously surviving but left with a fractured skull.
While the finer details concerning the incident are currently unknown, the severity of Ford’s encounter with an 18-wheeler cannot be understated. Her friend Claudia Jordan took to Instagram, posting a picture of the crash.
“She [Ford] was involved in a horrific accident that could have easily taken her life,” the Real Housewives of Atlanta alumni writes. “It’s actually a miracle she survived.” Jordan continues, adding how her friend harbors “a huge gash in her head and blood on the brain” and cannot remember her traumatic event. She also urged any witnesses to come forward to aid in the investigation.
Maryam Iman, another friend of Ford’s, similarly took to social media, explaining how Ford’s “jeep flipped three times.” Iman continued, writing how she saw her “best friend/adopted sister” lying in bed with a “10 inch open wound that had to be surgically closed with staples and stitches and several abrasions on her body,” reminding her how finite life can be. “Driving home yesterday from the hospital completely choked me up,” she adds. She closed her post by wishing her longtime friend a speedy recovery.
