Melissa & Tammy Etheridge Split

The eight-year relationship between Melissa and Tammy Etheridge is over. "Melissa and Tammy Etheridge are saddened to announce that they are now separated," their rep told People magazine. "[The couple asks] for consideration and respect for our family as we go through this difficult period."

The two exchanged vows in September of 2003 in Malibu, and had twins together — their son Miller and daughter Johnnie Rose — in 2006.

Melissa’s rock star status sometimes overshadowed Tammy’s fledgling career which included stints on the WB show Popular as well as Showtime’s The L Word. – JOE GALBO
