Melissa McCarthy returned to Saturday Night Live this week to play White House spokesperson Sean Spicer.
In the spirit of Easter, McCarthy was dressed as an Easter Bunny. This is a nod to Spicer’s role as the Easter Bunny during the 2008 White House Easter egg hunt.
McCarthy’s Spicer wanted to “apologize” for the recent controversial remarks comparing Bashar Al-Assad to Hitler.
“It would be really great if the nitpickers could try to see the big picture, and didn’t solely focus on every little slur and lie I say,” ‘Spicer’ said.
“And P.S., I’d like you also to know I am sensitive to the fact that they were sent there on trains,” Spicer continued. “But hey, at least they didn’t have to fly United, am I right?”
After explaining Passover — “aka Jewish Easter” — using props, Spicer proceeds to ram through the White House podium with a Easter egg golf cart.
