Melissa Benoist was spotted on the set of her new movie Low Riders with costar Gabriel Chavarria in Los Angeles Friday.
Benoist, who is starring in the forthcoming Supergirl TV series, appeared to be acting intoxicated while filming Low Riders on the LA sidewalk. Outfitted in a plaid skirt, leather jacket, knee-high socks, combat boots and a black knit cap, Benoist was pictured raising a red solo cup in the air. At her side, Chavarria watched on.
In Low Riders, Benoist is playing the part of Lorelai, a role for which Lily Collins and Nicola Peltz were also being considered, according to Deadline. Lorelai is one of the pals of the central character, a teenager immersed in the culture of lowrider cars and street tagging in East LA
Demian Bichir, Eva Longoria, Tony Revolori, Theo Rossi and Yvette Monreal are all starring in the film as well. Low Riders is being directed by Ricardo de Montreuil from Bierne-Gordon and Justin Tipping’s script.
