Joe Biden’s daughter, Ashley Biden, is speaking out about how her family’s presidential administration will differ from Trump’s.
In a new interview with The Today Show, Biden confirmed that her mother, future First Lady Jill Biden, will not meet with current First Lady Melania Trump, as the current and future First Lady usually do to discuss the transition and position.
“No. I don’t think they’re doing the traditional protocol, which is unfortunate. But I think we’re all okay with it.”
Biden also confirmed that, unlike current First Daughter Ivanka Trump, she will not have a formal role in the administration. Ivanka Trump is currently advisor to the president.
“I will use this platform to advocate for social justice, for mental health, to be involved with community development and revitalization. I do hope to bring awareness and education to some topics and subjects that are really important,” she said in the interview.
Ashley, 39, is Joe and Jill Biden’s only child. She is half sister to Biden’s other two sons, Hunter and the late Beau Biden, whom he had with his late wife Nelia Hunter Biden, who died with other other daughter, Naomi, in 1972 in a car accident.
