Melania Trump Leads Lord’s Prayer, Delivers Speech in Florida Rally

First Lady Melania Trump recited the Lord’s Prayer and delivered a speech bashing Donald Trump‘s critics in Florida.

The First Lady delivered her speech ahead of her husband’s rally in Melbourne, Florida. Usually a demure presence next to her outspoken husband, many people were surprised by her speech.

“The America we envision is one that works for all Americans and where all Americans can work and succeed,” she said after reciting the prayer.

“A nation committed to a greater civility and unity between people from all sides of the political divide. I will always stay true to myself and be truthful to you, no matter what the opposition is saying about me,” she continued.

“My husband is creating a country of great safety, and prosperity,” the First Lady said before introducing President Trump, ceding the podium to cheers and applause.

The President touched upon a variety of topics in his speech, including Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch, the “mess” he claims former President Barack Obama left behind and his controversial immigration ban.

Left-wing critics took to Twitter after Melania’s speech. She was criticized for having to read the prayer instead of memorizing it like most Christians.

The way Melania choked through that Our Father tells me she has not spoken aloud for weeks.
