First Lady Melania Trump’s office notified the Secret Service of a threat after Peter Fonda tweeted about going after the President’s youngest son, Barron.
Fonda tweeted that Barron should be “ripped from his mother’s arms” and be thrown “in a cage with pedophiles.” In a since-deleted tweet, the actor wrote, “WE SHOULD RIP BARRON TRUMP FROM HIS MOTHER’S ARMS AND PUT HIM IN A CAGE WITH PEDOPHILES AND SEE IF MOTHER WILL WILL STAND UP AGAINST THE GIANT ASSHOLE SHE IS MARRIED TO. 90 MILLION PEOPLE IN THE STREETS ON THE SAME WEEKEND IN THE COUNTRY. F—“.
The actor’s anger was caused by the Trump administration’s policy of separating immigrant families at the border, leaving thousands of kids alone in camps without their parents.

Stephanie Grisham, the first lady’s communication director gave a statement stating that the Secret Service was notified of the tweet. She says that “the tweet is sick and irresponsible.”
Grisham has also shared that Melania is also against the immigration policy. “Mrs. Trump hates to see children separated from their families and hopes both sides of the aisle can finally come together to achieve successful immigration reform,” the communication director said in a statement. “She believes we need to be a country that follows all laws, but also a country that governs with heart.”
Former living first ladies also disagree with the current immigration situation, Rosalynn Carter, Laura Bush, Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama have all spoken out against the Trump administration’s immigration policy.
