Melania Trump Ad By Anti-Donald Trump Group Features Nude Modeling Picture
Donald Trump is not happy that an attack ad against him features a risqué picture of his former model wife, Melania Trump.
Melania Trump Ad
An anti-Trump super PAC called Make America Awesome has been running Facebook ads to steer Mormon voters away from voting for the New York City real estate mogul. While they’ve also pushed out an ad that features Mitt Romney and another that targets Trump’s position switch on abortion, it’s the one that features Melania that is causing the biggest controversy.
The ad features a picture of Melania posing in the nude for a modeling shoot, and is captioned, “Meet Melania Trump. Your Next First Lady… Or, You Could Support Ted Cruz Tuesday.”
Upon seeing the ad, Trump tweeted, “Lyin’ Ted Cruz just used a picture of Melania from a G.Q. shoot in his ad. Be careful, Lyin’ Ted, or I will spill the beans on your wife!”

While Trump is pinning the blame on Ted Cruz, his fellow GOP nominee hopeful has distanced himself from the ad, and warned him against targeting his wife, Heidi. “Pic of your wife not from us,” Cruz wrote. “Donald, if you try to attack Heidi, you’re more of a coward than I thought. #classless.”

Trump, of course, remained unconvinced: “Lyin’ Ted Cruz denied that he had anything to do with the G.Q. model photo post of Melania. That’s why we call him Lyin’ Ted!.”

The ad was the work of the Make America Awesome super PAC – and specifically that of Republican strategist Liz Mair. “We think the Cruz campaign has turned evangelical outreach into something of a fine art. We’re not so sure he has LDS outreach locked down, though, and this is an area where we have a little bit of experience and knowledge over and above some Republican operatives, so it’s something we’ve decided to delve into for these contests, at least,” Mair told BuzzFeed.
.@realDonaldTrump Hi Donald, I know you’re really upset about that ad, but it was Make America Awesome’s, not Ted Cruz’s.
