Melanie Brown, also known as Mel B, said goodbye to her father yesterday, who died after a five-year battle with multiple myeloma cancer. Brown, 41, is best known for her career as Scary Spice, a member of the British pop group, The Spice Girls.

Announcing her father, Martin Brown’s passing on Instagram, Melanie mentioned, “Both of us his children were by his side and would like to say thank you to St Gemma’s and all the doctors and nurses for there amazing care and support over the years.”

The only reason the mention of “both of us his children” is of any note is because Brown and her sister, Danielle Brown, have been in a feud for nearly eight years. “Just 2 put the record strait! Ive Not seen my sister for 8 years, there is no family reunion planned, it is what it is,” Danielle wrote in a tweet on February 12.

The feud between sisters is rumored to have begun when Mel B married her husband, Stephen Belafonte in 2007.

All seems to be resolved between sisters as they posted the same photo with the same caption on Instagram yesterday.

Brown is currently a judge on NBC’s America’s Got Talent, which halted filming today to allow Brown to recover.
