Meghan Trainor was finishing up a performance of her new single “Me Too” on The Tonight Show last night when she lost her balance.

Meghan Trainor Falls On ‘Tonight Show’

Trainor had powered through the vocals on “Me Too” and ably completed the choreography with her backup dancers Thursday night without a glitch. However, after facing her band, she spun around to do a mic grab and lost her footing, falling to the stage.

Instead of popping right back up, Trainor, slightly embarrassed, stayed splayed on the ground. Host Jimmy Fallon tried to make his guest feel a bit more comfortable and lied down beside her, the two of them giggling. Fallon eventually took to his feet and helped Trainor get back up on hers. When she stood up and waved, the crowd gave the singer a standing ovation.

Earlier this week, Trainor had the “Me Too” music video pulled off the internet after it was brought to her attention that her waist had been Photoshopped to make it appear smaller. “I texted the editors like, ‘I never asked you to touch my waist. I want my waist back,'” Trainor told USA Today. “I screamed in my hotel room. I was like, ‘Why would they do this?’ I cried. I had to try not to cry because I had my (makeup) done, and was like, ‘Don’t ruin this. Go work and ignore it,’ but I couldn’t help it.”

Trainor added of the editors, “Why would they ever be like, ‘Let’s break her ribs!’ It’s insulting, it’s rude. Especially because I’m the only artist who talks about it.”

The unaltered version of the “Me Too” music video was up by Tuesday afternoon. “The real #metoo video is finally up!” Trainor announced. “Missed that bass. Thank you everyone for the support.”
