Meghan McCain, co-host of The View and daughter of late Sen. John McCain, has given birth to a baby girl, named Liberty Sage McCain Domenech.

The baby arrived happy and healthy, according to a representative for McCain on The View. The show also confirmed the news later on via Twitter, writing, “We are excited to share the happy news that our @MeghanMcCain and her husband Ben Domenech have welcomed their first child, daughter Liberty Sage McCain Domenech!”

The TV host, 35, and Domenech, 38, first announced the pregnancy in March. McCain previously had a miscarriage in 2019.

“I think everyone knows this has not been a smooth road to motherhood,” she said while breaking the news in March. “It’s taken a lot of physical, emotional, and mental strength to get here. I think, like a lot of women, it wasn’t a straight line. I didn’t know if I was ever going to be a mom, so I’m excited.”

McCain kept the majority of her pregnancy private, explaining that she would keep quiet on social media for the comfort and safety of her family.
