Meghan McCain Attacks Vice President Kamala Harris: ‘Maybe A Women Can’t Be Vice President’

Political commentator Meghan McCain let loose on Vice President Kamala Harris.

In a conversation with her longtime friend and analyst Laurye Blackford, McCain discussed the Golden Globes and revealed that a friend had sent her videos of Harris’ “gaffes” to provide some entertainment. McCain specifically highlighted Harris’ 2022 speech about the passage of time, “She sounds like stoner, like a 19-year-old stoner in college who’s high at 3 a.m. She makes me so uncomfortable,” McCain said on her podcast. “I don’t like watching her. I don’t like listening to her.”

McCain didn’t stop there. She went on to describe Harris as “really unserious” and issued a warning to her listeners that she was about to make a controversial statement about the vice president.

McCain provocatively suggested, “If anything, Vice President Harris has proven to me that maybe a woman can’t be vice president. I actually think she’s setting feminism back ten years… Why is it that black voters and people like me have such a strong adverse reaction to her? I have a very strong adverse reaction to her. It’s not because of sexism. There are so many female politicians I love and respect that I’d be happy with being president.”

Throughout her tenure as a cohost on The View from 2017 to 2021, McCain, a staunch Republican, openly criticized left-leaning politicians, including Harris, Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton. She also expressed her disapproval of Donald Trump, who repeatedly attacked her father, the late Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona).

Harris is the latest target of McCain’s criticism, as she has previously spoken out against her co-hosts on The View, referring to them as “crazy old people” in December. Additionally, McCain has been vocal about her dislike for Bradley Cooper‘s film, Maestro, and consistently offered negative feedback since its release last year.

In a separate incident, McCain hinted at the possibility that she might pursue legal action against The View after she interpreted a December on-air quote from current cohost Ana Navarro as a personal attack. Navarro did not mention any names when she discussed famous individuals who have utilized their last names for personal gain.
