Meghan Markle’s New Netflix Series ‘Love Meghan’ Gets Harsh Reviews From Critics: ‘Queasy & Exhausting’

Meghan Markle’s long-awaited Netflix series Love, Meghan has been destroyed by critics, labeled as “exhausting,” among harsher evaluations.

Love, Meghan was supposed to mark a new page for Markle. The notices come after critics’ terrible reviews of Polo, Markle and her husband Prince Harry’s other Netflix series. Love, Meghan has endured extensive negative press in the months leading up to its release, with Markle being slammed for her poor promotion of the series. Originally slated to premiere in January, the release date was pushed to March 4 due to the Los Angeles wildfires. The widespread mocking of Markle and the show’s promotion has only grown in the interim.

The series comes amid enormous turnover at Markle’s companies, with employees openly venting to the press about her behavior.

The eight-episode series follows Markle around a beautiful house as she and celebrity chef guests offer cooking and hosting advice.

Critics seem to have unanimously agreed on the low quality of Markle’s new venture. It received one-star reviews from The Guardian, The Independent, The Telegram, Forbes and many others. One reviewer said, “So pointless it might be the Sussexes’ last TV show,” while another called it “queasy and exhausting.”

Among the points that ticked viewers off was Markle’s “sickeningly” sweet demeanor, saying phrases like “Good night sweetheart” to her personified cake or “I feel you’re watching me falling in love” while eating a radish. The series was also criticized for portraying Markle’s lavish house and possessions.

Markle and Prince Harry signed a $100 million deal with Netflix in 2020, which the couple’s last show put in question due to its disastrous ratings. Critics agree that Love, Meghan could very well affect the five-year deal.

Mindy Kaling, Abigail Spencer, Roy Choi and Delfina Blaquier were among the celebrity guests on Love, Meghan.
