Thomas Markle, the father of Meghan Markle, is less than pleased that he has not met her in-laws, and the final straw being that Queen Elizabeth will meet President Donald Trump before she meets him.

Though nothing is finalized, the Queen is scheduled to meet with Trump in the U.K. on July 13, and Markle has taken personal offense to it. “If the queen is willing to meet our arrogant, ignorant and insensitive president, she has no excuse not to meet me, I’m nowhere near as bad,” he told the TMZ.

Markle also shared that he has not met Prince Harry either. He has not had contact with his daughter or any else part of the royal family since his interview on Good Morning Britain, where he talked about his absence from the wedding.

It’s been over a month since the royal wedding, and he is just now coming forward about why he missed his daughter’s special day. He was unable to attend the wedding due to the fact that he recently suffered from a heart attack, as well as being a part of a staged paparazzi scandal.

In his interview, Markle shares that Meghan was more concerned with him getting better, rather than attending. “They were disappointed [I couldn’t make it]. Meghan cried, I’m sure, she did cry, and they both said, ‘Take care of yourself, we are really worried about you,’” he said. “They said the important thing was that I get better.”

Markle also added, “The unfortunate thing for me now is that I’m a footnote in one of the greatest moments in history rather than the dad walking her down the aisle.”

Since his interviews, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has not spoken out about Markle’s absence. The only public acknowledgement that they have given was the statement Meghan gave through Kensington Palace before the wedding.
