Meghan Markle Called ‘Dictator In Heels’ By Staff Member In Report After Losing 18 Employees In Last Six Years

Meghan Markle has been accused of being “a dictator in heels” by someone who currently works for the Royal couple.

According to an article published by the Hollywood Reporter, the source said Markle “doesn’t take advice” and has brought “grown men to tears.” The story has received backlash from supporters of Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, who claim that the quotes were fabricated by the Royal Family.

Co-editor-in-chief of the publication Maer Roshan has defended the story. He told Access Hollywood that the reporter “talked to a very high-up source who works for the couple and said: ‘Everyone is terrified of Meghan.'”

“‘Duchess Difficult’ is a nickname that has trailed Meghan Markle for quite a few years,” he continued. “What is new is that this notion, since coming to America, that a lot of these rumors were manufactured by the Palace and the reporting that we did suggests that probably isn’t true and there is still this undercurrent of fear.”

The Hollywood Reporter piece also described the couple as “both poor decision-makers” who “change their minds frequently.” Markle has been accused of bullying Palace staff before the couple’s move to California. She is said to have left many of them feeling “traumatized.”

Markle and Prince Harry are believed to have lost 18 members of their staff since being married in 2018, with nine or more of their employees leaving after the couple relocated in 2020.

Markle has spoken out about similar accusations on her Archetypes podcast.

“You’re allowed to set a boundary,” she said. “You’re allowed to be clear, [it] does not make you demanding. It does not make you difficult, it makes you clear.”

Earlier this month, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were invited to spend Christmas with the late Princess Diana’s brother in the U.K.
