Megan Fox Recalls Miscarriage In Poetry Collection ‘Pretty Boys Are Dangerous’
Megan Fox opened up about the miscarriage she suffered in her debut poetry collection, Pretty Boys Are Dangerous.
The actress alluded to the loss of a baby girl by writing, “There is an ultrasound by your side of the/ bed,” adding, “Do you think that if she could have/ she would have left a suicide note?”
Fox also recounts the difficult reality of having to say goodbye to her child: “I close my eyes/ and imagine/ holding you tight against my chest/ as they rip you from my insides.”
She continues by saying, “I will pay any price/ tell me please/ what is the ransom/ for her soul?”
Fox’s fiance, Machine Gun Kelly, spoke to the couple’s experience with miscarriage during a segment on Good Morning America on Tuesday.
“I’d never been through anything like that in my life,” he said. “I have three kids, so it was very difficult for both of us and it sent us on a very wild journey together and separately… trying to navigate, ‘What does this mean?’ and ‘Why did this happen?'”
He was referencing the three sons that Fox shares with her ex-husband, Brian Austin Green.
Fox also discussed her decision to shed light on the tragedy during the Good Morning America segment.
“I just think it was something inside of me that had to come out because it was gonna make me sick,” she explained. “It gives an elegant place for your pain to live — to put it into art makes it useful to other people. And so, you don’t just suffer with it on your own.”
Pretty Boys Are Dangerous is out now.
Fox recently engaged in a Twitter war with trolls who attacked her son for wearing dresses.
