Rapper Meek Mill was sentenced to house arrest on Friday for violating the terms of his parole late last year.
Mill must serve three months under house arrest following the December finding that the rapper was guilty of traveling without following the guidelines in the terms of his probation.
Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley also ordered Mill to spend six more years on probation.
Mill cannot work during the three-month period and can leave home only to do community service with groups serving adults.
The rapper served five months in jail in late 2014 for a similar violation and was released in December of that year.
The judge has kept an eye on Mill, whose real name is Robert Williams, after giving him a break in a 2009 drug and gun case.
Philadelphia prosecutors determined Mill had violated the terms of his probation when he traveled to Los Angeles with girlfriend Nicki Minaj for the American Music Awards in November without securing a “travel voucher.”
Prosecutors say the violations also include unapproved travel to New York for a concert and efforts to join Minaj in other cities. Mill has both complained about probation and credited the judge with helping him succeed. Mill’s sentence will begin Mar. 1.
