Rapper MC Hammer was not known for his philosophical thoughts but that changed this week.
The “U Can’t Touch This” hitmaker impressed Twitter with his Aristotle-like writing.
“You bore us. If science is a ‘commitment to truth’ shall we site all the historical non’ truths perpetuated by scientists?,” the 90s rapper, who’s real name is Stanley Kirk Burrell, tweeted. “Of course not. It’s not since vs philosophy… It’s Science + Philosophy. Elevate your Thinking and Consciousness. When you measure include the
measurer.”
Hammer’s statement was a response that stemmed from the rapper sharing an academic article about the philosophy of science, titled “The Visibility of Philosophy In The Sciences, 1980-2018.”
The tweet turned the philosophy-loving rapper into a meme.
