20th Century Fox pleased Maze Runner fans with a new trailer for sequel film The Scorch Trials on Thursday.
Based on the novel by James Dashner, Maze Runner (2014) is a dystopian sci-fi film, which tells the story of a teenage boy named Thomas, who gets trapped in a glade at the center of a giant labyrinth. He has no memory of his previous life and quickly becomes part of the group of teens locked in this maze with him. After gaining the role of “Runner,” Thomas tries to find a way out.
The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials trailer proves that the sequel will be even more intense, mysterious and action-packed than its first film.
In this next chapter of the Maze Runner series, Thomas and his fellow Gladers face their greatest challenge yet: searching for clues about the mysterious and powerful organization known as WCKD.
Their journey takes them to the Scorch, a desolate landscape filled with impossible tasks. Teaming up with resistance fighters, the Gladers take on WCKD’s super forces and uncover its shocking plans for them all.
“You guys don’t have to come with me, but I know we can make it,” Thomas declares in the preview.
“The Maze was just the beginning, The Scorch will change everything,” the trailer promises. Check out the exciting trailer for yourself:
