Matthew McConaughey Hosts ‘We’re Texas’ Virtual Concert For Storm Recovery

After Texas was hit with a winter snowstorm last month, Matthew McConaughey hosted a “We’re Texas” virtual concert to help benefit Texans still recovering from the storm.

The benefit raised money for many organizations, including Meals on Wheels Central Texas, The Salvation Army, the Austin Disaster Relief Network, Save the Children, St. Bernard Project and Team Rubicon disaster relief.

“A lot of Texas are hurting right now,” McConaughey said in a release. “After the disaster of the worst freeze in over 70 years, so many are still without clean water and unable to repair water damage that has made their homes unlivable.”

The ‘We’re Texas’ virtual concert event features an all-star lineup of Texas talent for a night to restore Texas. It’s time.”

Performers included Don Henley, Los Lonely Boys, Lukas Nelson, Gary Clark Jr., Lyle Lovett, George Strait, Kacey MusgravesKelly Clarkson, Khalid, Kirk Franklin, Leon Bridges, Miranda Lambert, Parker McCollum, Post Malone, Randy Rogers and Willie Nelson.
