Matt Damon Admits Having Four Kids Is 'Pretty Crazy'

It's a full house for the Damons. Matt and wife Luciana recently welcomed their fourth daughter into the household and are adjusting to the new dynamic with aplomb.

“It’s been pretty crazy. The baby came a couple of weeks early. It’s our fourth, so we’ve done it before — but it’s a whole new dynamic,” Damon, 40, told Hello! Canada. Four-week-old Stella is the latest addition to a family that already includes Gia, 2, Isabella, 4, and Alexia, 12, who is Luciana's daughter from a previous marriage.

Though the actor didn't necessarily expect the family he's ended up with, he has no regrets. It'll “take a little getting used to” he admitted. “It was very different, it’s true,” he said of his path to parenthood. “But I can’t imagine my life having not gone down that road. I can’t imagine what my life would be now. I don’t want to imagine it.”

And Damon has help from his wife, who he met in classic romantic comedy style. “I was hiding behind the bar because I was getting hassled … I went [back] and [Luciana] said, ‘What the hell are you doing here?’ because I didn’t work there and I was behind her bar,” he recounted. “I genuinely feel like, people have that saying about seeing someone across a crowded room, I swear to God, that happened to me … something incredible happened the first time I saw her.” –AMYLEE
